About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son in all ways – in power, authority, and majesty. Sinners are unable to, by our own decision or effort, come to believe in Christ as our Savior. But the Holy Spirit calls us to faith through the Gospel message. He makes us aware of our sin and, therefore, our desperate need for a Savior. He also draws us to Christ by working through the Word of God (Bible) and Baptism. After bringing a person to faith, the Holy Spirit keeps that person in faith, as He also equips the Christian to put their faith into action, as guided by the Lord in His Word. -- 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25;

Ephesians 5:18
